PUBLICATIONS AND PERSONAL DESIGN PROJECTS
Embracing the ethos of perpetual self-improvement, I dedicate myself to honing specific skills, engaging in personal projects that range from crafting imaginary products to the sheer delight of drawing and painting. Delve into a glimpse of some of the projects that have brought me joy and fulfillment.
1. SEATING CONCEPT PROPOSAL FOR PEOPLE MOVER TRANSPORTATION -
The assignment involved preparing and submitting a comprehensive proposal aimed at transitioning from the current foam and trim seating system to plastic injection molded seats. The primary focus was retaining the existing structural framework while implementing this shift. A thorough examination of the Statement of Work (SOW) was conducted, which included a detailed review and analysis. Design features and recommendations were proposed comparing the competition in similar segments, ensuring a well-informed and tailored proposal. The finalized proposal was subsequently presented to the client for consideration and further discussion.
This proposal allowed my client to smash the competition and secure a $4 million contract, prevailing against top tier companies, including Siemens.
2. ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLE CITY COMMUTER PROJECT
This personal project delves into the electric vehicle (EV) sector, with a specific focus on the rapid growth of electric bikes (eBikes). The primary objective is to understand the market trends and identify key growth opportunities within this niche. The overarching goal is to understand potential market penetration and emerging growth opportunities to increase market share.
By understanding these insights, this proposal aims to provide a roadmap for effectively positioning electric bikes in a rapidly evolving market, capitalizing on emerging opportunities, and ultimately securing a robust market share through customization opportunities. The cool thing about this project is the use of AI software such as VIZCOM.AI to help me generate photorealistic renderings of the motobike concept from my own sketch. It streamlines the process and helps us to visualize the potential end result.
3. EXPLORING CAR DESIGN AESTHETICS
This small project explores the world of car design aesthetics, with a focus on generating compelling renderings using AI software. Engaging in brainstorming and sketching sessions, designers push the boundaries to conceive unique and innovative car designs, drawing inspiration from sources like nature and futuristic concepts.
Transitioning to the digital realm, advanced rendering techniques bring these concepts to life using AI software and then modifying the output using digital painting techniques. Meticulous attention is given to details such as lighting and textures, enhancing the realism of the renderings.
Ultimately, it culminates in a collection of thoughtfully crafted renderings poised to influence the future of automotive design.
4. EXPLORING SHOE DESIGNS
Similar to item 3 above, this project explores shoe design looking into market trends and unique materials that can be used to grab attention and stand out from the crowd. Analyzing current trends and consumer preferences, one can explore novel ideas through brainstorming. The digital phase employs advanced rendering techniques, focusing on realistic and visually captivating representations using AI software. This short project is all about learning new tools to help one realize their concepts into a hybrid reality approach.
5. HOW TO DRAW CARS NOW DVD SET FOR ASPIRING DESIGNERS AND DRAWING HOBBYISTS
Energized and self-financed an exhilarating beginners' drawing course on the dynamic world of car design and illustration! Delve into the core techniques of sketching and digital painting that ignite creativity. Successfully crowdfunded through KICKSTARTER in 2012, this project transcended borders, reaching enthusiasts globally. A catalyst for inspiration, it has ignited the flames of passion in high school students, car aficionados, aspiring designers, and drawing hobbyists, propelling them to pursue their dreams in car design. The set encompasses 2 action-packed DVDs, with 5 hours of engaging content, a treasure trove of drawing tips in a booklet, essential supporting files, and a dynamic drawing schedule.
6. SKETCHING AND DIGITAL PAINTING
Artistic expression has been my lifelong passion, rooted in my childhood. As a design lead, the ability to convey ideas visually is indispensable, whether utilizing whiteboards, engaging in tactical planning, or sketching concepts. This skill proves invaluable in effectively communicating with a larger team. During my free time, I take pleasure in rekindling my connection with the arts, dedicating myself to honing and enhancing my skills as an artist. The examples below showcase some of my work.
Commemorating the 100th-year Centennial Celebration of LeMans, the official poster was exclusively crafted for the 2023 Tin Roof Music Festival. This unique artwork pays homage to automotive legends Carol Shelby, Ken Miles, and Tom Kristenson, seamlessly integrated with the powerful presence of the Cadillac GT Hyper Car. Specifically designed for the Tin Roof Charity Event, the poster is a testament to the fusion of speed, legacy, and philanthropy.
The journey to the final masterpiece involved multiple sketches and brainstorming sessions, each idea contributing to the evolution of the concept. The culmination of this creative process resulted in the final digital painting that captures the essence of Le Mans' rich history and the thrill of the Tin Roof Music Festival.
